Creator of Agent Kathrin Night

K. S. Brooks is the creator of the Agent Night Adventure Series. 

This native New Yorker has been writing action adventure since she was 15 years old.

K. S. Brooks now lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where she relocated 3 years ago to concentrate on her writing and photography.

I was lucky enough to be able to meet K. S. Brooks at a literary event.  She spent a few minutes with me and I asked her the following questions that I thought might be useful to other fans who want to know!

#1 - Is that you on the cover of Lust for Danger?

        KSB:    No, I get that a lot.  That is a computer-generated woman, created by my Publisher.

#2 - Where did you get the idea for the Agent Night Adventure Series?

        KSB:    I have always had a strong appetite for justice.  It's just something that has been there a long time, I guess.

#3 - How many books are in the Agent Night Adventure Series?

        KSB:    I currently have 6 more planned, with outlines and some scenes written for all of them.

#4 - When will the sequel for Lust for Danger be done?

        KSB:    I'm hoping to have it completed this year.  There is a lot of research on remote locations that slows me down, but I'm still hopeful to reach that goal.

#5 - If the locations are that remote, why do you have to research?

        KSB:    Have you ever watched a movie and seen something blatantly wrong in it?  That movie instantly lost credibility with you.  I don't ever want that to happen to a reader.

#6 - Do you have other projects besides the Agent Night Adventure Series that you are working on?

        KSB:    Actually, yes, I am working on a vampire novel, as well as a Broadway Play.

#7 - There's no other way to ask this -- is Agent Night you?

        KSB:    No.  She is smarter, stronger, tougher and sexier.  I can't hold a candle to her.  But I wouldn't want to be her, because she is actually a very disturbed character.  Very dark in a way.

#8 -  Can you tell me why she's dark?

        KSB:    Some clues to that were provided in the first half of Lust for Danger.  Much more is  revealed in the sequel.

#9 -  Does the sequel have a title yet?

        KSB:    Yes, but I don't feel comfortable revealing that until it is in the hands of agents.

#10 - Do you ever talk to book clubs or that kind of thing?

        KSB:    Sure, I've gotten invitations to speak at all kinds of events and meetings.  My favorite is going to schools and talking to students of all ages.
